Fulminare began the way every Raden piece begins. It started with the stone, and with a single question: what setting could possibly deserve it?

A radiant cut is a demanding centerpiece. Its cropped corners and brilliant facet pattern throw light in every direction, and a lesser setting only gets in the way. The answer here was not to quiet the ring down around it, but to build something equal to it.

The Setting

Rather than a plain band, the shoulders were carved by hand into a living gallery of scrollwork and petals worked in white metal, set with pavé and with warm yellow diamonds tucked into the recesses. From a distance the ring reads as one clean, confident silhouette. Up close, it keeps giving: a second world of detail that only reveals itself when someone leans in.

The Intent

That contrast is the whole idea. A stone this bright deserved a setting with the same restlessness, something that looks composed from across a room and turns out to be alive in the hand. Every prong, curve, and accent was placed so the eye is always led back to the center stone, never away from it.

Fulminare is a one-of-one commission. It was never drawn to a template and will never be made again. It was built outward from a single diamond until the ring could have belonged to no other stone.
